Epitaxy Lab builds websites, mobile apps and automation for small businesses across North Texas. We are small, we are local, and we would rather tell you that plainly than pretend to be a forty-person agency with an office in Dallas.
The name
epitaxy · /ˈe-pə-ˌtak-sē/ · semiconductor fabrication
Growing a crystal on a substrate one atomic layer at a time, so every new layer inherits the structure of the one beneath it. It is how computer chips are made, and it is how we build software: a clean foundation first, then the product, then the surface people touch, then the automation that keeps it running. Skip a layer and the whole thing has a defect you cannot fix later.
Why we are cheaper than an agency
Three reasons, and none of them is that the work is worse. We are small, so there is no account manager, no project manager and no sales team between you and the person writing the code. We hand-code static sites instead of assembling plugins, which takes less time and produces something faster. And we are new in this market, so we are pricing to earn a reputation rather than to protect one.
That third reason has an expiration date. The prices on this site are what they are today.
What we are not
We are not a marketing agency and we do not run ad campaigns. We are not a law firm, and where a question needs an attorney we say so and help you find one. We are not the right choice for a company that needs a dedicated team on retainer, and we will tell you when that is what you actually need.

Bilingual is not a feature we added
The person who writes your Spanish copy is a native speaker and this studio's founder. In Denton County that is not a nice extra. For a huge number of local businesses, the Spanish version of the site is where the customers actually are, and most competitors either skip it or run their English through a translation plugin and produce something that reads as careless to the people it is meant for.
