Sabor Latino is a Honduran kitchen on North Crawford. The cooking is catracho: masa pressed by hand onto the griddle, red beans, sweet plantain, salty cheese, soup that has been going since the morning.

The room is small enough that the people cooking are usually the people who say hello. Guests keep describing the same two things, over and over: plates bigger than they expected, and a welcome that feels like somebody’s house.
